I look like the letter 'A'...

I was attempting to UN-accordian this dress so you could see all the fun pleats, but I just look like an A. Owell, I love this dress anyways, I'm sure it will be featured in other outfits soon as I wear it alllll the time.  Also, I wouldn't wear those boots with this now that I'm looking at the picture.

Stellaaaaa!

I love this dress I got for Xmas a couple years back (on clearance), but I need to try to dress it down more.  I usually only wear it for special occasions, so I paired it with an old cardi and some silver flats.  It kinda worked and I could probably wear this to work! Sweet!

Dress: Stella McCartney
Cardi: H&M
Necklace: H&M??
Flats: Steve Madden (so comfy from DSW, highly recommended)

I WANT TO GET MARRIED IN THIS DRESS

Isn't this just the most beautiful dress ever!  It's made by a designer on ETSY! I actually saw the link to the Etsy shop on someone else's blog (which is escaping me right now), but the link to the designers store is SarahSeven. Check it out she has very beautiful things!

Onesies

So I jumped on the jumper bandwagon. I didn't want to buy a really expensive one so I trotted over to the always trusty H&M and of course they had one. While this piece definitely forfeits quality (it's a little stiff), it does the trick.

Holey Cow

I've been seeing some trends revolving around ripped jeans and holes in leggins etc. So I decided to rip up and old pair of mine to see how it looked. I quite like it!

Goth Jewelry Anyone?

I had to make these necklaces for an accessory design class I was enrolled in at school.  Our assignment was to gather inspiration from the Goth exhibit showing at FIT a few months back and to create goth accessories.  I immediatley wanted to work with tulle and then just sort of progressed from there. I like the second one alot more and I wear it out often.  The first one is a little too crazy for me.  I'm thinking about toning it down....

Necklaces: Tulle, beads, grommets, horns, chains, and lots of love.

Just some of the "deets" of things I'm loving in my closet right now.

4. Close up of fabric: Missoni dress

Sparkles!

Soooo, I saw this dress on sale and something in my soul coaxed me to purchase. Where am I going to wear this dress? Not sure, but I think because of its neutral nude color it's more wearable that the Missoni dress below (see Missoni Mission).   I actually have an engagement dinner to go to next weekend, perhaps it will make its debut on dinner society. Hehe :)

Old Favorite

I bought this T-shirt/Dress on major clearance because I just loved the drapery of it. (I love really drapey looking clothing).  I must admit I don't usually wear it without pants, for obvious reasons, but it always get compliments.  A girl once stopped me at a bar and told me she "loved the outfit I was wearing" (the one in the pic, except with gray skinny jeans), and she ended up giving me her card.  To my surprise she worked for a well known fashion company and I'm still in touch with her today. I hope to work with her someday :).

My Missoni Mission

I've had this dress a couple years now. I bought off the best website ever, Yoox.com, but I have YET to wear it! No, I'm not kidding.  There just hasn't been an occassion that I felt was appropriate to break it out.  Subconscious kicking in, "...you live in NYC, everyday in an occassion..."  Point Taken, but really, not so much.  I'm just not the type to go prancing around Soho in a sparkly Missoni dress hoping to run into Scott Schuman (shout out - see inspiration).  So, now I have a Missoni Mission. I do have a couple weddings coming up....hmmm....

My Love....

My love actually gave me "my love" for my birthday last year. The best gift I've ever gotten....ever. Until I get my next one...hehe (wishful thinking).

A Few Good Ensembles...

This is a compostition of a few of my recently worn outfits in the past month.
1.  I created the "knotted vest" in the first picture out of scraps of material I had left over from a jacket I made.
2.  See below.
3.  I also made the necklace in the third picture out of tulle and chains.  I hand sewed beads all over it and punched some grommets into it. I love the piece, but I found after wearing it multiple times, it is very delicate. (Especially after a few glasses of wine!)
4.  This outfit was for a recent intimate dinner with friends at The Charles on W.4th & W.10 St. (previously Les Deux Gamins), which was closed due to "health reasons"....blech, I used to eat there alot.

Note: I will post these individually later and name names, etc.

Happy Harem Pants...

I had a birthday party in the West Village recently. I decided to try out my "Harem" pants since they are an up and coming spring trend...or so the magazines say. hmmm...
